Reimagining Philanthropy

Project

Fundable (USA)

Date

2022

Location

US-India

Lives Impacted

4,000+ individuals and families

Co-founded in 2022 by Tabish Bilal, Lindsay Saligman, and Mohit Raj, Fundable is a U.S.-based nonprofit and technology platform built on the conviction that inequality narrows when trust expands. Fundable reimagines philanthropy by enabling direct, peer-to-peer wealth transfers from individuals in the Global North to families in the Global South—minimising intermediaries while centering agency, dignity, and choice.

Designed as a trust infrastructure rather than a traditional aid mechanism, Fundable embeds verification, transparency, and feedback directly into its technology, allowing support to move quickly and relationally. Its models are built to complement regulatory and governance frameworks without reproducing bureaucratic distance.

What it led to: Representation of Fundable on global forums such as Indiaspora Abu Dhabi, advancing a new paradigm for technology-enabled, trust-based redistribution.
